Message from Jonathan Katz,
Past President & CEO
The fall semester has started, and so has the countdown to our fourth annual Tufts University Entrepreneurship Conference (TUEC). The 2007 TUEC will be taking place on Saturday, October 27th, 2007, and will be featuring speakers who deal with international business as well as environmentally friendly businesses. We will be making more announcements about the details of the conference as we get closer to the 27th and will be posting information in the "Conference" section of our website.
During the 2006-2007 school term, YET launched the YET Project Incubator, a program designed to help Tufts students with their business ideas, business plans, and businesses. The Project Incubator assists students by following a process developed by YET Board members Robert Petti and Michael Easton that will provide them quality feedback on their businesses and assist them with resources and social networking. The Project Incubator is expanding this year, and now will feature an educational lecture series that will cover topics about various parts of business. The lectures, currently five in total, will be held at different points throughout the year, and will look at topics such as financing your business, management, writing a business plan, sales and marketing, and more.
If you have a business or a business idea and are interested in the Project Incubator, please contact Michael Easton at Michael.Easton@tufts.eduThe entrepreneurial process for YET does not stop there. We are looking for better ways to serve our members and the Tufts community and make more people feel involved in YET through programs.
Sincerely,Jonathan Katz
President
